Incognito mode won’t keep your browsing private.

Once you open the chrome view in an incognito mode, the tabs you open will not stick around your browser history, search history or a cookie store once you have closed the incognito tabs. However, this does not mean you are invisible because you are still visible to a certain group of people.

Whenever you are using Incognito mode on google chrome then the browser will not be saving the following sets of information:

  1. Your browsing history
  2. Site data and Cookies
  3. Information entered in the forms

But this does not mean that no-body can know about the browsing activities while you are in an incognito mode. This is because your incognito activity might still be visible to one or all of the followings:

  1. Websites you visit
  2. Your employer or your school
  3. Your internet service provider

Basically, incognito mode is used to hide all of your browsing history from other people using the same computer. So, basically incognito mode is used to maintain your local privacy while you browse while using a particular computer on chrome browser. But, it does not have any kind of impact on your online privacy as it is not invisible.

The software installed on your device might as well affect the performance of the incognito mode i.e. this installed software might circumvent the incognito’s privacy protection. Some of the software that might dampen the incognito are parental control applications. This is because these software monitors down all your data even though you are browsing incognito.
